Winter Reading Club at Steele

Winter Reading ClubEveryone knows that Summer Reading Clubs are a great way to benefit young readers over the summer months; they encourage reading to become a lifelong habit, they introduce and generate interest in the library and books, and they can help children keep their literacy skills sharpened to prevent learning loss.

Just like its summer counterpart, Winter Reading Club is a way to generate interest in the library, books, and reading over the winter months.  To participate in the Steele Memorial Library’s Winter Reading Club, stop by the Steele Memorial Library to register, or you can register online at https://ccld.lib.ny.us/ by clicking on the Blue Winter Reading Club logo.  Children from birth through the age of 13 are invited to participate.  Simply track how many minutes a day you read to earn fun prizes!  Stop by the library to grab some books or participate in a children’s program to earn entries for door prizes.  Register soon, Winter Reading Club ends Saturday January 5th, happy reading!
