Blind Date with a Book

To kick off a new adventure at the Van Etten Library and a new year, the Van Etten Library is going into February with an all month long program.

Blind Date with a Book!

What is a Blind Date with a Book? I’m glad you asked!

You can come into the Van Etten Library during operating hours from February 3rd-28th, to look through our eligible books ready to go home with you!

But here’s the catch: you don’t know what the title or author is, nor what the cover looks like. All you get is a “pick up” line on the paper covering it.

Find one that peeks your interest, check it out, and take it home. Unwrap it and get to know one another. Show it your favorite reading spots. Who knows? You might just fall in love with a book you would have looked over on the shelf!

If you didn’t like it, there’s no awkward feelings! When you return your book, fill out a “Rate the Date” card to tell us how it went. Once you fill that out, you get an entry to win a “Movie Night In” Gift Card.

This program will have books for kids, teens and adults. You can read as many books as you want for the program, but only up to 5 entries per patron for the raffle.
