Cookbook Book Club at West Elmira Library

Do you enjoy cooking? Do you enjoy book clubs? Here at West we have mashed together two of our favorite things and created the Cookbook Book Club. Each month, we pick a cookbook from the library system with enough copies to give to everyone interested in participating. The book club members check out the book on their card and take it home to find a recipe they would like to share. On the fourth Monday of every month, we meet and bring our dish to pass. Once everyone has made a plate from all the different fare, we sit down to enjoy our meal together and discuss our recipes. We talk about what we like and didn’t like about the recipe, what we changed, if we would make it again, and about the cookbook in general. At the end of the program, we hand out the new cookbook for the next month and eagerly await our next feast together. Call 733-0541 to inquire about next month’s program!
