“Build” a Stuffed Animal at Van Etten Library

LogoThe Van Etten Library has scheduled a most exciting program for our younger patrons! On Wednesday, January 9th at 3:30pm the library is hosting a Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop. We have chosen to “build” our very own most adorable Snow Leopard!

The Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop is a stuffed animal workshop where kids bring their very own stuffed animal to life. There are so many adorably fluffy animals that this workshop offers, it is super hard deciding which one to choose!

Snow LeopardDuring the stuffed animal workshop, the kids stuff their own animal, and then make a wish on a rainbow star before placing it inside their new friend! This is a great activity for small or large groups, and the workshop also has a story book connection which works fantastic as a library program. The Snow Leopard Workshop will include the story “Over in the Arctic” written by Marianne Berkes with illustrations by Jill Dubin.

We will also offer a pet collar craft as well so our stuffed leopards can go home with a collar and name tag. After naming our new friends we will complete a birth certificate and each child will also receive a special Noah’s Ark tote bag to take home as well.

Registration is required for this library program, with just thirty spots available, this workshop will fill up very fast. Call the Van Etten Library to sign up. (607)589-4755, ext. 3.
