Thanks to a generous gift from the Friends of the Steele Memorial Library, CCLD patrons have 24/7 access to Mango Languages. Mango is an online language-learning system that can help you learn languages like Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian, Russian and even ancient Greek. In addition to learning a new language, there are several English courses for non-native speakers. To access this new language tutorial go to: https://ccld.lib.ny.us/mango.htm.

Don’t want to sit at your computer or laptop? You can even download an app for your Apple or Android device and learn a new language on the go!

  1. Update: CCLD no longer offers Mango languages. Instead, look on our Databases and E-Resources page and sign up for Transparent Language.

Transparent Language offers over 95 different languages, with 1,500 to 2,000 words and phrases for every language. Also includes English learning for speakers of 25+ languages, including intermediate-level immersion courses.
