Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place on March 2. This day is also the birthday of one of America’s favorite children’s authors, Dr. Seuss.
The Van Etten Library will be paying homage to Dr. Seuss on Wednesday March 6 from 3:30-5:00.
In honor of all things Seuss, drop by the library to help us celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a pizza party, cupcake decorating, books, crafts, puzzles and a prize drawing.
We all are familiar with Dr. Seuss and his great collection of children’s books for any age, many of which have been adapted into very popular movie productions and even a Broadway musical, Seussical.
Join us for a fun, interactive program that will include printable activities, crafts, reading a favorite Dr. Seuss book & the showing of the original Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who, broadcast on television in 1970.
Stop by the Van Etten Library on March 6th and celebrate Read Across America & Dr. Seuss!
