Your Chemung County Library District’s Bookmobile won first place in a website contest held by Laurie Cass. Laurie Cass is the author of the mystery titled: Lending a Paw. A bookmobile as well as a cat are featured prominently in this cozy mystery. Ms. Cass wanted pictures of real bookmobiles on the website as part of the promotion for her book. We submitted this photo and wouldn’t you know it? We won!
Our prize was 2 copies of her book Lending a Paw. According to Library Journal, “it’s hard to resist a cozy debut featuring a spunky librarian with an impeccable service attitude and her slightly magical cat who rides shotgun on her bookmobile. Well researched, with low-key humor and an intriguing mystery–don’t miss this one.” When these lines were typed both copies were checked out however, you can place a hold from the STARCat catalog. Click here to place a hold for this purrfect [sic] mystery today.
Finally, once the snow melts and the polar vortex returns to the Arctic, join your Chemung County Library District Bookmobile in celebrating National Bookmobile Day on April 16, 2014. There will be more details in the Library District’s April 2014 Newsletter.
