What should I read next?:

Don’t feel comfortable coming into the library to browse? We’d like to help you find new books to read and listen to! Complete our “What should I read next?” form and our librarians will select some books or audiobooks for you, based on your preferences. https://ccld.lib.ny.us/what-should-i-read/. We can place the items on hold for you or email you our suggestions.

Hold Fulfillment:

Holds are limited to 15 items, and 10 of the items can be DVDs. Family members can use more than one card to place items on hold, but the total number of items going to one household cannot exceed 50 for the curbside service.

Staff will fill requests and place in a bag. Please allow 24 hours for staff to process these requests.

When you call to schedule your pickup appointment, staff will get a description of your vehicle, and schedule a time for you to pick your items up at the library.

Please do not attempt to pick up items via curbside pickup until an appointment has been arranged.

Curbside Pickup Procedures:

When you arrive at the library to pick up your items, please park in the designated parking spaces and staff will bring your order out.

Please, do not get out of your car or engage with staff (keep windows rolled up and have your library card or ID ready to show to staff through the glass). Please have a mask with you, in case something happens that requires you to interact with staff. If you cannot roll up your windows or are picking books up without a vehicle, please wear your mask while staff are nearby.

Open your trunk, and staff will place your items there.

For those without a vehicle who wish to walk or bike up for items, this can be arranged. Follow the same instructions as above; during the phone call to arrange a pickup time, staff will give you walk-up instructions for picking up your items. Please bring ID or your library card.

Returning Items:

If you have items to return, please do NOT bring them to staff, place them in the outside drop box.
